PT ASIX Indonesia Cerdas and PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk Develop a Technology Innovation Research Center and Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Robotics Academy in BSD City

BSD City, May 11, 2026 – PT ASIX Indonesia Cerdas (ASIX), a subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (IDX: DSSA) (“DSSA” or the “Company”), has officially entered into a strategic collaboration with PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (Sinar Mas Land) in the fields of technology innovation, research and development of artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics in BSD City. Through the development of a Technology Innovation Research Center and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Robotics Academy, this collaboration was formalized on May 11, 2026 at the ASIX AI Joint Lab, ITB Innovation Park, Bandung, West Java. The MoU signing was attended by Irawan Harahap, CEO Digital Tech Ecosystem & Development Sinar Mas Land, and Andrie Tjioe, CEO & President Director of PT ASIX Indonesia Cerdas.

The use of Artificial Intelligence and robotics technology is inevitable in the future. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), particularly in the Technology and Innovation Report 2025, reported that the market size of frontier technologies such as AI and robotics is projected to grow sixfold, from US$2.5 trillion in 2023 to US$16.4 trillion in 2033.

Irawan Harahap (CEO Digital Tech Ecosystem & Development Sinar Mas Land) stated, “This collaboration marks a tangible step in transforming BSD City into a future township that excels not only in physical infrastructure but also becomes an epicenter of technology innovation in Indonesia. Through this collaboration, BSD City opens wider opportunities for innovators, researchers, and technology industry players to jointly build a sustainable technology ecosystem. We are proud to be part of ASIX’s journey in bringing world-class AI and robotics capabilities to Indonesia. This aligns with our commitment to make BSD City a research and artificial intelligence (AI) hub through our new initiative, mBrace (Make BSD Research and AI Center of Excellence). We hope this initiative can deliver real impact to the wider community.”

Through this MoU, both parties agreed on several strategic initiatives, including the development of a Research & Development (R&D) center by PT ASIX Indonesia Cerdas, which is a joint lab between China Mobile and Sinar Mas. This R&D center will serve as an innovation laboratory and technology incubator, the implementation of Proof of Concept (POC) programs to test solutions before wide-scale implementation, the organization of product showcases, and the establishment of an AI and robotics academy.

Andrie Tjioe (CEO & President Director of PT ASIX Indonesia Cerdas) added, “We are very enthusiastic about this collaboration. For us, BSD City is not merely a physical location, but also the right ecosystem partner to realize ASIX’s vision of developing an R&D center and establishing an AI and Robotics Academy that will become a platform for the birth of a new generation of Indonesian digital talent. We bring technological excellence from the globally proven China Mobile ecosystem, combined with a deep understanding of Indonesia’s industrial landscape through Sinar Mas. As one of the initial concrete implementations, we are introducing the ASIX K9 Robot to support the security system in the Biomedical Campus area, BSD City. This step proves that ASIX’s robotic solutions are not only conceptual but are ready to be directly implemented to meet the operational needs of modern areas.”

Representing PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), Marlo Budiman, CEO of PT DSST Mas Gemilang, DSSA’s business pillar in the digital infrastructure sector, stated that the establishment of this research center is a tangible implementation of the company’s diversification strategy toward future technology sectors. “This strategic step by ASIX is designed to create strategic alignment across all business lines, particularly in integrating artificial intelligence solutions with existing digital infrastructure assets. By strengthening this technology pillar, the company aims to build a more resilient operational foundation that can adapt to the future needs of industrial digital transformation,” he said.

Located in D-HUB SEZ BSD City, the Technology Innovation Research Center and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics Academy is connected to modern commercial centers such as The Breeze, Green Office Park, BSD CBD, AEON Mall BSD City, QBig, and ICE BSD. In addition, the area is surrounded by international education facilities such as Monash University, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, IPEKA BSD, Jakarta Nanyang School, and Sinarmas World Academy. As an independent city covering approximately 6,000 hectares, BSD City continues to develop into an integrated smart digital city that presents an ecosystem of residential, business, education, technology, and lifestyle within one integrated area.

The development of the city is supported by various technology-based infrastructure and solutions such as high-capacity fiber optic networks, Internet of Things (IoT) implementation, digital-based security and area monitoring systems, and the development of data-driven city services that improve mobility efficiency, safety, and community comfort. Through the development of digital infrastructure, high-speed connectivity, and collaboration with various global technology companies, BSD City continues to strengthen its position as one of the centers of innovation and digital economic growth in Indonesia.

D-HUB SEZ in BSD City is integrated with various toll road networks; Serpong-Balaraja (Serbaraja) Toll Road Section 1A & 1B, Jakarta–Serpong Toll Road integrated with JORR 1, JORR 2 Toll Road (Soekarno Hatta Airport – Kunciran – Serpong – Cinere – Cimanggis – Cibitung – Cilincing), Japek Toll Road, and Jagorawi Toll Road. Mobility to/from Alpha IVF Group, BSD City is also supported by various public transportation options, including BSD Link buses, BSD City feeder buses, and the KRL Commuter Line via Cisauk Station in the BSD City Intermoda Area and Jatake Station in the Hiera Area.
